So, on March 19, 2010 this little miracle turned 1!! Happy Birthday Danielle!!! :) So, on March 20, 2010 we celebrated this milestone with her! She is such a sweet little girl, and also a contender in the race to be Luke's girlfriend (if he so chooses the older woman, because remember there is the younger woman - little Miss Reagan:) ) Danielle is the sweet baby girl of my friend and co-worker, Stacey (and her husband Dwayne :) and the little sister to Matthew. Luke spends his Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays with Danielle, Matthew, and Ms. Jennifer. So now that you have the background - which you probably didn't really need - it's on to the party!

operation feel better
So we arrived at the Lake Surgery Center at 7:15 am, Kate was slated for 8:15 and Luke 8:30, and they weren't far off on their timing. It took 11, yes ELEVEN minutes for Doc to replace Kate's tubes, is that not crazy?!! :) Luke took a little longer - about 25 minutes, 25 mere minute to place tubes and remove adenoids. My, how far medical practices have come.

and his sissy was not happy about it, she didn't cry at all about surgery but was visibly upset that her 'bubba' was crying
While I know there is a light at the end of the tunnel, the past few nights have been hard - not with Kate, as she came through with flying colors, but poor Luke has not been sleeping well, has run a mild fever, and is still majorly congested without the benefit of the nasal aspirator due to adenoid procedure. All in all though, we are doing good:) thanks for all the prayers and well wishes!

Today's the day...
After fighting for 2.5 months , we are getting ready to head on down to the Lake Surgery Center to finally get some relief. Ass much as I hate having to have my little ones undergo surgery, I can't justify any reason not to. Luke has yet to respond to any antibiotics and Kate has been fighting fluid and infection since her tubes worked their way out. So at 8:15 my little ladybug is getting her replacement tubes and at 8:30 the bean is getting tubes and having his adenoids removed. Wish us luck and say a little prayer for us! :) Updates to follow.

BUT, this, would look even better in her.

ephiphan!e is giving away this gorgeous Canon 5D Mark II - *swoons*. And if that wasn't enough - the bags are absolutely gorgeous! Above pictured is Lola - I believe we could be friends - great friends. However I think I could also be friends with Belle or Ginger.
Head on over to epiphan!e to check them out! They are gorgeous!

Look Out World...
He's trying his darndest to get it going...It's not going to be long, if he could just figure out what to do with those knees once he picks one up off the ground...he usually gets frustrated and just pushes and ends up scooting backwards - but although he's not crawling formally - he is ALL over the place:)

Happy Valentine's Day! Happy Mardi Gras!
and in honor of Valentine's Day (since it's in the height of Mardi Gras this year)
this one is half cream cheese, half cream cheese and apple - looking forward to tasting!
yummy!!
It's just too bad that I came upon making these at the end of Mardi Gras - or maybe it's not - my poor hips are probably happy! :)

go team!
Sunday, February 7, 2010 - the day that will forever be remembered by all Saints fans - the first appearance of the black and gold in the Superbowl. I, for one, am totally psyched! so much so that I made these shirts for Kate and Luke to don in support of our Saints on the big day! WHO DAT?!
and no matter the outcome (although I have total faith that we will walk away victorious) we are so proud of this year's team for all of their hardwork and dedication!
GEAUX SAINTS!!!
oh yeah, and we are in the middle of Mardi Gras- is there a better time to be living in South Louisiana? :)
